TMJ and Dental Stress

Craniosacral work is consistently helpful in relieving stress associated with the jaw, mouth, face, and head, including:

  • Teeth grinding
  • TMJ issues
  • Tinnitus
  • Post-orthodontry imbalance
  • Dental pain
  • Headaches

These issues are most often associated with soft tissue tension around the jaw. This soft tissue tension causes stress to the jaw joint itself and may press on nerves, which can cause further tightness, pain, and discomfort.

Craniosacral oral protocols consist of a series of gentle contacts in the mouth (with a gloved hand) that relaxes and opens stuctures.

Note: One should consult a dentist for professional assessment of one's teeth.
